In FL, don't look for farmers market, per se, but 'flea markets'. Most of all produce stands are in flea markets. I lived in Tampa for 8 years and that is what started me thinking about doing marketing after I moved back to Indiana. You are starting to get into the 'deader' time for that south. They pick strawberries in March, so their production schedule is about 2-3 months ahead of yours.

Keep in mind, when you cross into the state, if you have agricultural products, we must stop and be inspected. I'm not sure about crossing out, but during the Med Fly invasion, you could not take items out of the county they were grown in.

Thank you both for all the information. Good note about the med flies, I forgot about that happening.
We won't be taking vegetables on the plane. I just want to be able to buy fresh produce from farmers while we are in florida to cook for our meals.

its right off of 95 not to far from miami.
they have farmers market,flea market,food court,14 screen drive-in movie theater,in-door carnival with elephants, and tons of venders.
if you have kids going?? you will be there all day...

P.S. when i lived down there i went at least 5 times a year
i spend all day there. on the weekends the have outdoor vendors too..

There is one in hollywood which isnt far from where you will be, it is the yellow green market. You can google it for directions, they have everything.
