Baked Goods--What moves fast?

I will be selling baked goods at a couple of our markets this summer. Our business sells cupcakes online, but I would like to add a few items along with them. I was thinking whoopie pie and mini-pies. I am open to anything that will sell fast. What can you not keep enough of?

I'm so glad you asked this! I am also hoping to sell some baked goods at our new market this summer. So, I don't have experience yet, but while we wait for the experts to weigh in ... I think in my area fried pies would be a HUGE seller. This might be a regional thing. I'm not planning on doing fried pies cause I don't want to mess with all the frying in the morning before the market. Also, so many people around here can make great fried pies.

Here are some of the things I am thinking: mini (1 pound) cakes like lemon poundcake, carrot cake, banana nut bread, etc. Also, banana nut muffins, cupcakes, sweet and savory scones, Welsh teacakes, maybe some garlic-herb foccacia and other savory breads.

I plan to do just two or three different things at each market until I figure out what sells best, maybe find one or two "regulars" and then add different things when I feel like it. I have heard that cookies do really well - something easy and familiar that they can grab and eat on the spot. I just want to find something a little different and a cut above the usual fundraiser bake sale fare, you know.

Just giving this a bump!

I don't bake, but often end up beside the baker (I sell plants). Usually they sell out before the market ends. Never happens to me! :>(

Cinnamon buns are a huge seller. Cookies, butter tarts, and artisan type breads. Scones, both sweet and savory. As a diabetic I always buy the no sugar cookies.
