Squirrel-proofing strawberry bed?

These things are driving me crazy! Last year (first harvest) they were sitting on top of the netting and making it sag, eating the berries from the top. So this year I put the hoops closer together, pegged into ground with those green landscape pegs more closely (pain when I want to pick) and they're STILL getting in - find some pegs pulled out of the soft ground.

How to secure the edges so they don't get in? Bed is about 2ft wide and 50ft long. I've picked about 2 pints total - they're literally eating half my berries (and leaving the chewed up halves all over) and I think it's escalating to the point where I'm not going to get ANY this week, we don't have long left in season.
