Selling Cherries?

We bought my grandparents acreage a year ago.
On it we have numerous cherry trees that are chuck full of red cherries. My mom is searching in old records what variety of cherry trees they are as there are a couple different kinds.
My mom and aunts and other family members have picked buckets of cherries for jellies, pies and even wine making.
Even then the birds had the final picking because we never took a dent out of cherries.

My question is what kind of market is there for cherries?

We have a very successful roadside pumpkin and squash stand at our home that we open in September. We are located on super busy highway that heads straight into town of about 15,000 people. We have a super location and my grandparents had an antique shop and produce and flower stand here for 35+ years.
Our plans for the future is to have full time produce and fruit stand...we put in strawberry beds already, adding a couple rows of raspberries in the spring, planting more apple trees to add to the ones my grandpa planted. Also we are going to sell fresh vegetables starting next summer.

Are cherries a profitable market crop?

Any input would be greatly appreciated....

RE: Selling Cherries?

The are a top seller at the market that I go to and the vendors usualy sell out. I think they are easier to grow than strawberrys but any fruit sells well.
