Strawberry and Raspberry Plants

| New at this. Can you dig up runners or suckers right now (June 1) and pot them to sell, or is this a bad idea? I am just wondering because they are all over and I don't have much to sell right now, Thanks. |

| Yes, you can BUT...hold them for a least a week, 10 days to make sure they make the transition from being dug. Keep them in the shade till it appears as thought they are ok. Make sure if doing raspberry suckers, they are small. The tall ones will not make it...not enough roots to suport the top growth. |

| I have given thought to selling some but ended up thinking it could be a bad idea. The chance of spreading disease or selling diseased plants is something to think about. mine show no disease, but it could be there? Plants bought from reputable nurseries are gauranteed to be disease free and are regularly inspected. |

| Not to mention a lot of the strawberry plants are patent protected which makes them illegal to sell unless you are liscensed. |
