Digging Potatoes

There was a thread here not long ago about small scale methods for digging spuds. I've been using a middle buster with good results and thought i'd post some pics of the harvest yesterday.

These are the early potatoes (Yukon Gold, Red Norland) which I grow in a field that has no irrigation. They go in early and have to be finished up by mid-July when the summer drought sets in. Even with our dry spring, the yield was pretty decent, with very little scab.
