Wholesale pricing

I am not able to sell direct to customers since I have a 5 1/2 day a week job and I am down a side road. I do have a person with a stand interested in buying directly from me instead of thru the local auction. My question is what is a fair way to determine pricing. At auction green onions are bringing from .90 to 1.50 each. Green peppers are 5-6 dollars per bushel and when mums are in season they bring 2.00-3.50 each. I am just looking for a fair way to price them. Thanks for any help.

RE: Wholesale pricing

Since you have an auction, nearby I hope, I would use those prices plus alittle. When I bought items from a farmer that didn't want to do the selling, he wanted me to be able to double his prices as a minimum. So if tomatoes are selling at your local farmers market at $2.00/lb, you would need to sell your tomatoes at $1.00/lb or less (to allow for any possible damaged ones).

Our local auction charges 10% commission to sell our produce.
