mail order question

Do any of your do mail order? How do you keep track of mail addresses and email eddresses? I have to find a better way to keep track, it's getting to big and unwieldy. I'm thinking some kind of software but without spending hundreds of dollars. would like to automate email notices of when season starts and holiday specials too if possible.
