Turnip Greens???

I now find myself in need of thinning my turnips out. I was thinking about selling them in bunches as turnip greens. I wasn't sure how big the greens should be for bunching.. I've used them for personal use at just about every size but am not sure how they should be bunched. Heidi

RE: Turnip Greens???

Hi Heidi,
I have been filling a 1 gallon plastic ziplock bag with the greens which are about 10-12 inches long. I sell the bags for $2.00 each and have had no problem selling them. I am in Kansas City. I use Seven Top type which doesn't make a turnip root (just greens) and they still haven't bolted. I've been cutting on them all summer.
