soaked broccoli too long

This is my first year doing a market garden, and I just harvested my first round of broccoli this morning. My plan was to quickly chill it in ice-cold water, then pull it out and refrigerate until the farmers' market tomorrow morning.

I brought it inside and put it in the ice-water, then got distracted (was helping my father-in-law with haying), and it sat in the water ALL DAY! When I pulled it out, the broccoli smelled awful . . . very strong sulfur smell. I shook it dry and put it in the refrigerator anyway.

Is the broccoli a loss? Is there any trick to reviving it?
