Just want to Vent

I know this has been discussed before, but I just want to
vent about customers thinking fresh produce off the farm
should be sold less than grocery store prices. We have tried to explain to them that our cost of production went
way up this year. We have to make that up somehow. People
are willing to pay more for entertainment, going out to eat, but raise the price of produce and they hit the roof.
We haven't raised our prices in probably about eight years.
They try and make you feel bad about wanting to make a decent living. We all know you don't get filthy rich being
a market gardener. Hats off to the customers who do appreciate what we try and bring to the community - a home
garden where they can get fresh produce picked daily. |

| it is tough, ya got to be like a duck and let the rain run off your back. many people just do not get it, me I would rather put my mony into the pocket of a local person than some , whatever it is others pocket. Mark |
