| I have an abundance of lipstick peppers. When in a basket with small sweet peppers they went unnoticed. Placed the peppers in a basket alone. Put 2 signs one labeled lipstick peppers with the price. Then a seperate sign-- "I may look hot, but I promise I am sweet.". Everyone reads the sign & points it out to others. They all get a kick out of it.
Another subtle thing I did for the hot peppers -- I put a piece of fabric that is black with red flames inside the basket. Now I don't have to answer every few minutes if those peppers are hot or not. Prior to the flamed fabric people would not take time to read the label, but the flames stand out well enough I made it through an entire market without a single person asking! Best $2 I ever spent! |
