here in virginia the state publishes a market report available on the web. maybe your state has something like that too.

Just click on whatever pricing you're interested in and click on the terminal market closest to you.

remember that you are selling your stuff retail (in small amounts) and the prices you get from the USDA are in case or CWT lots i.e. wholesale prices so they should be at least 50% lower than what you charge

I agree, especially if your produce is organic or sustainabley grown. A lot of the stuff at the Terminal Markets is from other countries so just use that pricing as a bottom line. The New Farm website has some good information - here's the link.

that new farm site is excellent. i have some winter squash to sell and was gonna try $1/pound but was unsure. but a visit to that website verified that as the correct price.

When they use the term bunch, and give a number on other items, which I take for the size of the item, what does this refer to. My bunchs may be larger or smaller than some one elses.
