Warted and viened and scared pumpkins

I found a pumpkin that looks like a Wisconsin Cheese round. It is tan colored, darker then a butter nut, and has veins and warts that look like scares. I bought it just for the seed, anyone know what I got here?
Thanks

| From your description, it sounds like you have Galeux d'Eysines. It's a great one for baking. This one is listed in the Seed Savers catalog. They mention that is a sure seller for farm and market stands. It's best harvested before overly mature because the warts continue to grow and will cover the entire fruit. Many of our customers like these unique pumpkins as a table centerpiece. This is a good one from which to save seeds for sure. |

Flower Farmer! Thanks, it is a Galeux d'Eysines. and I bought it becasue of its wonderful appearence. Now that I know it is also edible I will need to make it for dinner one nite. I will save the seed and grow it for market next season. Thanks again Tom |
