| Anyone in the Northeast growing/selling, red torpedo, Cipollini or White Pearl onions?
Just wondering what a fair price would be and how you are selling them, ie: bunched or loose?? |

| In the Northwest here but here's what we did with specialty onions from '96 to '02. We sold the puple pearl type onions at $1 a bunch for 10. The most surprising onion that was in demand was the Egyptian Walking Onion. We marketed them as an onion to eat with sets to plant. Got $1 each and they were always good for a few hundred dollars of sales/season. Tom |
