Bed Shapers/Mulch Layers

Hello all ~ I'm new to the forum and hope there might be someone out there that can recommend a bed shaper/ mulch layer combination. This is a pretty big purchase, and I'm comparing some of the brands - Rain-Flo, Nolt's, Buckeye tractor, etc. What has your experience been? I have a heavier silty clay loam soil, so I'm wondering if these will work for me. Thanks much! Claire from Algoma, WI

Nobody here uses a plastic mulch layer?? From my research Rainflo is suppose to be the caddy of the mulch layers. I guess there is some what of an art to using one of these machines. Never used one couldnt tell ya anything more.

Heres one thats is des moines and seems like a good deal, some what of an older ad though.

put _plastic mulch layer craigslist_ in google and you maybe able to find one near you.

Here is a link that might be useful: layer

I have a Buckeye bedder, drip tape layer mulcher combo and wouldnt give it up for anything. It forms the beds ar 6 inches, lays the drip tape, and then covers tightly and smoothly with your choice of plastic mulch, then I got the plastic retriever that rolls it up, all for $7,500.00 and its paid for itself.

RE: Bed Shapers/Mulch Layers''

I just seen on RFD TV a 4 row bedder mulcher drip layer machine. It was a large tractor pulling it, maybe 100 or more horses, Im wondering if my Ford 5000 a 70 hp tractor might not pull a 2 row unit.
