The baby yellow crocked neck zucchini and patty pan squash always seem to be a hit. The baby green zucchini seems to be everywhere.

it is my understanding that there is no difference in varities. I grow Sunburst patty pan, Costata Romanesque and Zephyr all as baby squash. the trick is you have to keep them picked daily. If you wait a couple of days, the squash get big (which is good for me as there always seem to be a few people who want huge squash cheap for making bread). i pick daily get them in the fridge ASAP and they will hold several days just fine. I sell 5" zukes for $3 a pound.

I grow alot of zucchini. I pick 2-3 times per week, I pick everything over 4-5" long. Of course, there are some really BIG ones along with the little ones. I sell almost everything at .75-$1.00 each. The big ones usually go for breads and the smaller ones are better for grilling. I really don't notice if the little ones or the big ones sell better. There is always buyers for almost any size. There is another vendor that sell her zucchinis with the blossom still on, but she charges by the pound. She must pick daily, if not 2x per day. She usually brings in more than she can sell, tho.
