i've tried everything in the last few years I can think of on brussels sprouts. Planting earlier, planting later, topping the plants to try and get bigger sprouts. This year I planted around the 4th of July, they aren't doing much as of a month ago, so I topped them, and now they have some pretty big looking sprouts from a distance, but when you touch them, they're as fluffy as pillows. There isn't any "head" to them. How do you get solid sprouts on these? I just cant do it and it's driving me crazy!
