I'm curious as to what most of you use as a water supply for your gardens---ponds, wells, city water, cisterns???

I use city water and am lucky to be so rural and to have it. Some neighbors have wells but they only give enough water for their home. I use mostly drip tape so is not too bad on costs.

I have city water, but have a few rain barrels set up and get most of my water use from them.

Thanks. There is NO water source on our property; every drop of water has to be hauled in. I've considered a well but feel a pond would probably serve us better for the same amount of money. When we do build a shed there, we will definitely have a cistern and rain barrels. Let's see---then there's a greenhouse, a hoophouse, a curing shed, etc, etc.
