I grow cut flowers. This time of the year we usually direct seed Larkspur, Cornflower, Annual Black Eyed Susans, Ammi, Sweet Williams. I have not ventured beyond these and need some help on others flower seed which could be direct seeded now for blooms in the spring with the other flowers I have listed. Example: Campanula, Penstemon: Are these varieties which could be sown now? Thanks in advance for any shared information.

Hi. You have a really good list there of fall seeded flowers. I can't help you with the Campanula or Penstemen question but I wanted to recommend another annual for you try fall sowing. Bupleurum ("Green gold") is my all time favorite filler for bouquets. I sow a big batch in October, then one in March, and one in early April. You might want to try posting your question on the Cut flower forum as well. Lots of cut flower market folks over there as well. Good luck!
