turnips and greens

hello ive got a field of turnips that i don't really wanna pic but i guess im gonna have to so my question is how bug should i let them get and can i sell the greens off of the ones i pick ordo the greens need to be younger ????

RE: turnips and greens

you can pick them at any time. ideally turnips are better when around 2" or slighly smaller. the tops can be picked at any time. if they are really large you can tear the large veins out.

Some folks dont like the turnip and just want the greens. I put about 2lb of greens in a bunch and tie them. i figure if folks want the turnip also i'll have them seperate.
