| I plant shallot bulbs both in the fall and spring. Because of the drought, a lot of this summer's shallots died back and did not get dug. They are now green shoots. If I dig, divide, and plant, would they make bulbs or just go straight to flower next spring? |

| I was wondering that about onions. The weeds took over just before the drought, now hubby says we have new onions and broccoli coming back. Should I try to dig them and hold for sets for next year? I'm sure their not big enough to use otherwise. |
