without breaking the bank is the problem part. Those things are so expensive! I did have a lady bring me some of those last year and want custom baskets planted into them and that went well.
I did a couple of extra ones and ended up selling them for just a little more than the standard baskets, I recovered my cost of the upgrade, but that was really about it.
I think if you're in a more upscale area, you'd do a lot better with it, but times are really tight here, and hasn't loosened up any yet. So that could be the problem here.
I'd say do a few of them, see how they fly and go from there. I purchased my baskets at walmart (of all places) last fall about this time of the year on closeout. It was cheaper than I could get them at my "wholesale" supplier.
You could alternatively get a few of the baskets, plant up one or two for examples and offer to replant baskets into them for an upgrade charge. Then your customer could pick any basket and "upgrade" it for a fee.
I lined the inside of my coco liner about 1/2 way up with plastic from promix bags and poked a couple of holes in it. It worked fine. the excess water could get out, but it didn't run right through.
