Last year, I started charging $3 per 4" pot, $5 per gal pot, $10 per 3gal pot and $15 per 5gal pot. These were tomatoes. I soon had to drop the price of the 3 and 5 gals to $7 and $10.

I had a few 4pk and 6pk which I sold at $1/plant.

I mainly sold tomatoes, peppers and eggplant, I don't remember selling any flowers.

I was the highest in my market, but I've been selling this plants for a few years and have a reputation of having good dependable growing plants. Plus if someone comes back and tells me their plant died, I make sure they followed my directions on how to grow, then I will replace it, if they bought it less than 30 days prior. I don't have many to replace.

So you sold the 6 packs for 6 bucks?? Do you sell them in ones and 2's as well?

Yes, if I remember right. the singles were in 4" pots. Of course, the 4" plants were bigger. For this year, I've bought some 1203, which means in a 10x20 tray, there are 12 pks of 3 each.

Later last year, I did have to reduce some of my prices, but I was still getting at least $3 until late in the season, then I dropped them to $2. Most of the ones that didn't sell in 4-6 pks early, I uppotted into 4" pots. I never sell plants that are root-bound. That's one of the reasons that I can get premium prices, none of my plants get stressed due to being in a pot too long.

I charged $2 for tomato and peppers plants in 1801's. That means the were 18 in a 10 by 20 tray.

They were very stocky and hardened off ready to go. It seemed that every day last spring was super windy. Others plants were bending over and breaking, mine were standing straight up and stood out.

I had four pack at $4.00 or three for $10.00. I sold many more singles than four packs.
