Planting into wet soil?

Hi, first season market gardening on my own and it's late spring here where I am in Australia.

It's been warm to very hot but we just had a week of rain and now my ground in pretty soaked. This was the week I was going to sow my second succession of sweetcorn, edamame and melons. The weather forecast is saying the rain is coming back in a few days. I'm not sure whether to risk the seed rotting in the ground.

I'm selling to a restaurant and a co-op (they pack vegie boxes for members) so I think I will sell more if have a consistent supply of produce. Hence why I don't want to delay planting.

Have you had much experience sowing into very wet soil, what would you recommend?

Forecast: the next week daytime maximums should be 25 - 31*C or (77 to 88 for you Fahrenheiters.)

Thanks
