A long question for the experts (just for fun)

A delivery truck takes 4.5 rosehorums to get from its warehouse in Garden City to the customer in Floralville at a speed of 50 PPP (poppyomiscus per petuniaminium) and uses 10 cedariters of special Milorganine fuel during the trip.

How many pansyometers are travelled between warehouse and customer and what is the driverÂs fuel mileage in poppyomiscus per marigoldetum?

FYI:

A rosehorum is a unit of time

A petuniaminium is a unit of time

A cedariter is a unit of liquid volume

A marigoldetum is a unit of liquid volume

A pansyometer is a unit of distance

A poppyomiscus is a unit of distance

Conversions:

Eight (8) petuniaminiums equal one (1) pineyosus

Three (3) lilly-pillies equal one (1) pansyometer

Seven (7) begoniolas equal one (1) cedariter

Four (4) raggabaggas equal one (1) farkleberrium

Five (5) poppyomiscus equal one (1) lilly-pilly

Six (6) pineyosa (plural of pineyosus) equal one (1) rosehorum

Two (2) marigoldetums equal one (1) begoniola

You're welcome to pass this on in any way you want.

And yes, there is a real answer.

Joe

But is there a prize for getting the correct answer? A doofusaurius would be nice or even a ration of farkleberrium. Yum. This quiz reminds me of the adage: You can lead a hore to culture but you can't make her think.

Oh, my, I'm so glad those math word problems are many days behind me. Please don't hold it against me if I pass on it rather than pass it on! lol

re: "hore" -- did you mean "whore"? Kind of a silly "adage" when one considers how little thought there actually is in so-called culture.

Your quiz was Greek to me so I sent it to my younger brother who is much smarter than me. Not only did I not understand your question, I don't even understand his answer but here it is:
Okay, here's the answer to the problem - The delivery truck traveled a
total distance of 10,800 poppyomiscus or 720 pansyometers using 70
    marigoldums per poppymiscus.
    ([distance] if 5 poppyomiscus = 1 lilly-pilly and 3 lilly-pilly's = 1
    panysometer, then 15 poppyomiscus = 1 pansyometer;
    [time] if 1 rosehorum = 6 pineyosa and 1 pineyosa = 8 petuniaminiums,
    then 1 rosehorum = 48 petuniaminiums;
    [volume] if 1 cedariter = 7 begoniolas and 1 begoniolas = 2
    marigoldetum, then 1 cedariter = 14 marigoldetums )
    My formula went like this: 4.5 RO x 50 PO/PE = D
convert RO to PE by multiplying 4.5 by 48 = 216
    216 multiplied by 50 = 10,800 [or 720 PA]
    10,800 / 10 = 1,080 CE/MA (divide by 14 = 77.14 PO/MA)

That was a real mind bender. In my younger days it would have been easier. I did come up with the same numbers as eddie's kid brother.

A short list of questions for gardenguru:

What's the difference between a duck?

How many pancakes does it take to cover a doghouse?

How long is a submarine? ___ true, or ___ false

Do you think it will be any more like yesterday than it was tomorrow?

"What's the difference between a duck?"

It depends a great deal on its religious affiliation and sexual preference. But the more important question is, "How do you get down from an elephant?" and the answer is, "You donÂt; you get down from a duck."

"How many pancakes does it take to cover a doghouse?"

Since youÂre talking pancakes, IÂm assuming that pi has something to do with the formula.

"How long is a submarine? ___ true, or ___ false"

False; a submarine is not long, itÂs deep

"Do you think it will be any more like yesterday than it was tomorrow?"

Joe: Oneduck55 asked a good question about using rubber tire pieces as mulch. You responded that the question was out of place in this forum. I found your reponse unkind, unhelpful, and out of place and find this question "a long question for the experts" totally bogus.

"How many pancakes does it take to cover a doghouse?"

That depends on whether the dog helps or not. My dogs all know the word "pancake" and consider it a delicacy.
