does anyone know if phycus tree will........

hi, the last rain seeped into my crawl space and i went under the house to clean up and then i noticed some tree roots running in the crawl space!
there is a PHYCUS tree not too far from the foundation of the house, do you guys know if Phycus tree has aggressive roots? is it bad for the foundation? please let me know. thanks a lot

From the research I've done, yes, ficus can have very aggressive roots and do substantial damage. Check your area for a qualified arborist (tree expert) to get some advice on this. Removal of the tree may be necessary but some other less drastic measure might be an option, too. Good luck.

thanks for the reply, i also found a part of the foundation on the other side of the house where most of the water seeped in and the roots of trees have busted the foundation so bad, there is an oleander 3 feet away, do you think the oleander is the one?

OOOO! Can I have the Oleander? Actually, I know that further south Z9 they have problems with Ficus in just such manners. Really sorry to hear about your foundation/pocketbook. Condolenses.....
