Will someone please help me i.d. a blooming plant that I found at an old homestead? It's about a year old, 30 inches tall, has leaves like a mulberry tree, purple veins in the leaves, largest leaves measure 12 inches long x 6-8 inches across, dark green & give off a stinky weedy smell when broken or crushed. Flower buds are dark purple. Blooms are light violet stars and form an umbrella shaped cluster. I can't detect a fragrance from the blooms. What have I found? It's very pretty & I'd love to know it's growing needs & whether it's hardy. Anybody have any ideas?
