Hellow fellow Master Gardeners,

I'm also a Master Gardener in Portland, OR. I'm originally from Cumberland, Rhode Island where my parents still live. They have a VERY mature Miscanthus sinuses that is getting OUT OF CONTROL. It's been offered on Craigslist and Freecycle to anyone to dig some for FREE! Lots of e-mail response only one taker. Do you know anyone in your MG network that might like to take some for FREE? Do you have any plant sale fundraisers coming up? This plant material could be divided and sold at a fundraiser. Any garden clubs in northern RI or southeast MA I post this same offer? Appreciate any help.

Kim
Portland, OR

Why not have your parents call their local extension office to see if any of the MGs there are interested. If not, they may know of some nursing home or library or other institution that would be interested and the MGs might want to make a small project of it for them. Just a couple of suggestions.
