Potted peas question

Hey, all.

Due to restrictions on living space this year, I've started a container garden out on my front porch. Well, to be fair, I've started my peas.

The problem is, I've never done much ((read: any)) vegetable container growing, and I'm having a hard time finding certain information. Also, for any of you who live in the Portland area ((and perhaps beyond)), you'll know it's been crazy windy of late, which is drying out my soil. Ergo, my biggest question is about watering.

I've found a couple of different sources and they're telling me different things from "full saturation" once a day to "ample surface water" twice or more. It's a 16" wide 20" tall pot with about five seeds. Suggestions?

RE: Potted peas question

Just keep it moist. If the top of the soil appears dried out, water. Your peas will likely sprout soon as they are in a container and therefore the soil will warm up quickly. I will be planting my peas in the ground and will be waiting about a week until the soil warms up.
