Dahlias

I went to the Dahlia forum; to get some info but really wasn't clear about what they were saying. I did the saran wrap for the first time last fall, and like everyone I've been peeking to make sure things are going well; and they seem to be. Can anyone tell me when I should take them out of cold storage here in Maine, and is there suppose to be sprouting, or should I be doing something with them? Do you just wait till you can put them in the ground, or do you pot them up sometime in the near future.. All help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much in advance!
Be safe,
Sky

RE: Dahlias

Dahlias are usually taken out from my cellar ( which stays above freezing) around March or April, I place them in my greenhouses which are temp controlled to bring them out of dormancy.

Thre have been years where I forgot them and took themout as late as May and June, there was little success with them when I waited that late.
