 o

The Maine Permaculture Meetup group is working on a plant exchange meeting the first Tuesday in May. Might be able to do a weekend exchange also, but tentatively planning the exchange at the next monthly meeting.

If anyone here is interested in expanding the local plant/gardening *network* let me know.

Right now we tentatively have some veggie seedlings, like tomatoes, peppers, perhaps brocolli and cauliflour, some herbs, possibly wild blueberries, raspberry canes, blackberries, and viburnum.

This should be an interesting meeting for those able to attend and who knows! there might be a few useful plants for you!

Sounds great! Where would it be held?

Right now it looks like the plant swap will be held here in Gorham. besides some veggie and herb seedlings, there will hopefully be some interesting shrubs and small trees for swap.

This is generally from the Portland maine Permaculture Group on the Meetup website. Still not firmed up dates or place yet, but hopefully in the next week or two we'll have a good idea.

Here is the schedule for the plant exchange as well as location.

The date will be Tuesday May 6th, starting around 5PM and going until 6:30 PM.

Location:

27 Dow Rd
Gorham, ME

Feel free to post here or contactr me directly for further information. on the plant exchange.

At 6:30 the Portland Permaculture group will be holding a meeting at the same location. While non members are welcome to attend, the meetings fill up fast, so I recommend you sign up at the Portland Permaculture Meetup forum at meetup.com.

While there is no membership fee, the typical donation each meeting is $1 to cover basic costs of running the group (Meetup charges a fee for each group)

If you aren't interested in attending the Permaculture meeting, you are still welcome to attend the plant exchange.

Basic guideline is bring a plant take a plant.

If interested, please post what you will be bringing.

Currently it looks like we should have wild and possibly cultivated raspberries, blueberries, Juneberries, veggie seedlings, various herbs, and several perennial flowering plants.

The more the merrier!!!
