I just bought a new house over the winter so anything that pops up is a pleasant surprise to me. So far I have Daffodils blooming and some other little purple flower that is not a crocus. Tulips are up but not blooming yet. I have a back yard full of blackberry bushes that are starting to bud. I am in Rumford.

Yellow daffodils and crocuses that I planted last year are in full bloom in West Paris. That's about it, but I'm happy for that little bit of color.

Daffodils and crocus here in Portland. My forsythia has one branch in full bloom while the rest of it barely has buds yet. Strange. My clematis has also sprung up by about 6" in the past two days.

Crocuses are just finishing. Daffs are in full boom. Forsythia and hyacinths just starting. This is the warmest April I remember---keep remembering 2007 when we had so much snow!

I still don't have much, but it's pretty exciting with everything getting big and that pretty baby green that new plants are. My forget me nots are budding up. As is my columbine. The pretty, if plain, columbine was planted on this property by my grandmother in the 50s and it is Everywhere. Very little of it is in an actual garden bed.

My daffodils are still blooming. My tulips are coming along. I've planted beets, carrots, cabbage for the chickens, and onions. I'm spreading compost like crazy. My chickens have destroyed my perennial gardens.
