| I am in ri and hoping to help a friend do some perennial gardening in readfield, near augusta. when is soil workable, daffodils blooming, etc? any help appreciated. thanks, mja |

| I'm in that area, and I put in some irises yesterday. My first two daffodils opened yesterday, too. |

| A few of my daffys blooming in Gardiner, just south of Augusta. But rain has kept most from blooming. |
