My wife and I have just purchased a home in Buxton. We have about 3 acres, a good piece of which is open and sunny. My wife is an accomplished gardener. However, we would really like to find a good (and not terribly expensive) consultant to help us think about perennial gardens, roses and what we might do to use the land well. We both love gardening and just need some expertise.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If I lived in Southern Maine, I would jump at the chance to use Gnome landscaping. I love their work!

You could always get in touch with a master gardener at the Cooperative Extension office.

Here is a link that might be useful: Cumberland County Cooperative Extension

I really like O'donals in Gorham. The prices arn't bad for such great plants and the shrubs are of great quality and have a year guarentee. I try to plant the ones that attract the birds and butterflys. They are always willing to offer advice on plants and planting. Merry
