Love those columbine!

I sure do love my columbine. I remember when I was a kid and the house we lived in had a rock ledge right outside the back windows, almost the entire length of the house. This time of the year it was just flowing with what seemed like a gazillion columbine. Pinks,white,violet and purple. They were the old fashioned kinds like the ones in the second picture, very graceful and hanging downwards. I love the color of the pink in my first picture, but find that I don't care for the upward fac
ing blooms as much. I'd love to get more seed of the old fashion downward facing ones.
But aren't they all beautiful? :-)
