| This is one happy Kousa. It blooms for one solid month each year. There are two at this property; the other is equally exhuberant. Both trees are on the southeasterly side of the house, close to the house, and get a shot of sun for three or four hours a day. The remainder of the day, they receive filtered light.
I have another one on an island. It's new to me this year, and I suspect it's having a hard time finding soil for all of the ledge. It developed patches of fungus on its leaves amidst our rainy spell this spring, perhaps reflecting its stress level from having to lead a shallow-rooted existence. I wanted to share what I feel is a lovely landscape tree, one that finds Zone 5 to its liking. Oh, and the light bluish bloom to the left of center belongs to an Agapanthus, a multitude of which are looking for homes. Contact me, please. |
