Wooly Bear invasion!

I went in my hoop house this morning and holy cow....wooly bears every where! All sizes, some black and orange and some were even kinda white. They were eating on most everything in there...iris, petunias, monkshood (I thought the stuff was suppose to be poisonous...what only to people???) Nepeta, plantain, raspberry, daylilies....you name it, they were eating almost everything in there! I usually see one here and there, mostly in the spring. So I picked all I could see and put them elsewhere outside. I went back in this afternoon and there was a mess of them again! Took them outside too. Old Mama must have laid her eggs in there?

RE: Wooly Bear invasion!

I hate days like that, like you dont have enough work to do than to mess with bug prevetion for the day.

I enjoyed the link, thanks...it was refreshing to read the approach as I am an organic grower and the style seemed to work for me.
