First harvest

| Although we've been eating lettuce since May, last night we harvested the first bush beans (Provider) and some baby new potatoes. They were both delicious and the potatoes were so creamy.
The potatoes were volunteers, I must have missed a few last year. I let them grow and I am glad I did. When eating them last night, I told dh next year I want to grow a large bed of potatoes so we can have all we want. Despite the 3-lined potato beetle! |

| Slugs ate most of my beans. Many of my carrots drowned. Summer squash never even came up. Cukes never came up, even though I planted twice. Beets are stunted and way behind. Same goes for onions. I could use a really good success just about now. Dan |
