Was just wondering if any one has ever heard of shelf gardening? I was told that if you had a small place for your veggie garden that there is a way to build a shelf so you can get the most out of your space. Any one with info would be greatly appreciated.

RE: shelf gardening

Could you be thinking of a sort of step garden? I've seen them on 1 or 2 garden programs, mainly for use on patios or small yards. You build something that looks like steps, only each step is actually a box containing soil. You plant things in the bottom box, or step. Then you plant other plants in the next box above it, then you can continue to another box above it. Sort of a tiered set of planters.
