easy to grow fig tree for Maine

Hi, what's your advice on an easy to grow fig for Maine?

I bought ficus carica 'desert king' I know I must bring into garage before first frost. Hope I dont kill it! I am in love with it, and hope keep it growing in its' container for years. . .

Anyone here grow figs?

I don't grow figs, but I have read that both Brown Turkey and Celeste do well in Maine.

I'm thinking about getting the brown turkey next year. I'd love to know how yours winters over in the garage. Keep me posted please.
