I am looking to buy some land in the Pembroke area. Any locals out there that could answer any questions? I can't find anything on the net about this town.

I can help, ask away!

I live real close--Eastport and my hubby is a real estate broker!

Thanks leasa!

We are eyeing the Machias area right now. It has a university and possiblity of jobs. But we are looking to buy a nice chunk of land to build a house on it at a later date.

I was wondering how much drilling a well and septic installments might cost? Maybe building a basement? Not sure if you have this info, its tough finding on the net.

Lawrence S Lord & Sons, Well Drilling/Pumps&Supplies/Gas, 207 454-2612 He drilled our well but it was here before we got here so I do not know the price. You could give him a call and I'm sure he could give you a good idea, he is located on the Airline in Alexander.

and the chamber has a site http://www.eastport.net/ with a video about the area.

There are several local contractors that would be able to help with building questions

Here is a nice site for Reversing Falls right in Pembroke
