Anyone from around here growing any? What have you found to be hardy and what conditions do they like? Any pics? All I have blooming well now is aster, sedum, chelone, burnet and joe pye weed, would like to have more fall perennial blooms.

RE: Question about fall blooming anemones...

I absolutely love 'Honorine Jobert', but last winter it succumbed to the harsh conditions after 3 years. I had it planted next to aconitum (monkshood)carmichaeli, which is also late blooming (purple). I did get some replacements for 'Honorine Jobert' this year, but it looks like they aren't going to bloom til next year. (unless we get another really awful winter!) I have them planted in pt. shade, fairly moist conditions but not soggy.

I really like the heleniums this time of year, traditional fall colors in red, bronze, and gold.
