| We have a hard freeze this morning. 24F here at the house...I picked a bunch of annuals for the house yesterday afternoon. Can't imagine much will be left of the ones still outside once the sun hits them... :-(
I'll have to think about putting my waterlily in for the winter before to much longer.

First frost here. I haven't been out yet but it was 32 this a.m. Looking out the window, nasturtiums are mush.

Same here about 30 when I got up. The lawn was all frosty looking. Haven't been out yet. Hostas still look ok the ones I can see from the window.

Yup, first frost here too. Almost everything is mush. My hydrangeas, cosmos, hyacinth bean vine, and peonies are all done till spring. The hostas and glads seem to look OK. Goodbye summer, I'll miss you!

We've had four frosts now. The combination of frost and 25° has just about ended the gardens for the year. I have pansies, petunias, sunflowers, statice and rudbeckia in the flower gardens. The only surviving vegetables are cabbage, broccoli, kale and beet greens. The swiss chard looked iffy this morning and I forgot to look this afternoon.
