growing conditions Eagle Lake area

Hi All, I am wondering what to expect for growing conditions for the Eagle Lake area. My son says it is near Fort Kent. We are using his good sense to purchase a place with him and I am already trying to plan a garden.
I will only be there limited amounts of time so it has to be pretty much maintanence free. I will be putting in day lilies & spring bulbs. Any other suggestions? |

| Zone 3. Anything really hardy. Daylilies are good. My friend's parents live on Eagle Lake. It's really nice. |
