| Not in my garden, the garden I work in. My client can't pass up a plant bargain. She dug out of a bin at Marden's bags and bags of tulips, daffodils, crocus on final clearance ($1.00/bag). I told her it's getting a little late, but planted them anyways. The ground was starting to freeze and I had to chop through a little crust. But the soil was soft underneath so I'm sure they'll be fine. If we get a good soaking rain soon, all the better.
It's amazing the stuff she comes home with after shopping. She's not able to work in her garden any more, but I think she gets surrogate enjoyment by buying plants. |

| good timing through that little window of opportunity! I had ( I had to hire someone as I ran out of time, lol) all the garlic planted 9 and 10th of NOv, and seaweed has been placed on top as well as the 2 year old horse manure application. Now to apply 4 inches or so of straw to control all the horse manure weeds next Spring! I look to see this thread in the Spring and your report on the Spring Bulbs! Cheers- G4 |
