Been pretty quiet here. But I think in general we are having a nice long fall with mostly mild temperatures.

I still have carrots in the ground that I'm picking, need to pick the rest before the ground freezes, which shouldn't be any time soon. I have loads of leaf lettuce still growing, and am still harvesting spinach. Was able to pick fresh sage for the turkey--if I remember correctly, I think the sage is usually dormant by Thanksgiving. Parsley still going strong.

I spread the last of the pine needle mulch this past week, and just yesterday I finally cut all the perennials back.

I guess all that's left is to go through the seed catalogs and start ordering.
