Dogwoods blooming in DC?

Posted by jayreynolds zone 6/7 (My Page) on

Hi, someone told me that dogwoods are starting to bloom in the DC area. This seems quite early. I always thought dogwoods bloom after the Japanese cherries. Has anyone seen dogwooods starting to bloom in DC?
Thanks

RE: Dogwoods blooming in DC?

The dogwoods in my area (Columbia, MD) aren't blooming yet, but look like they will be within the next week or so. The buds on the one at my house are starting to open a little.
