Yes Maryland has a reputation for that. Lulling you into a sense of spring forever and then dumping a load of snow on us. I come from eastern Washington State and I can tell you in the winter I am glad I am here. Steve in Baltimore County.

We were afraid that we wouldn't have enough firewood this year. Like you, we've only used our fireplace for the ambiance as well. As for this being 'normal' I don't know. This will be my 3rd Maryland winter, as a South Florida transplant :) Christy

HA!! I haven't turned on the AC yet, but we did open all of the windows on Saturday. I even got the itch to Spring Clean! The one night we did light up the fireplace, it was like an oven. Bad call, I'll blame it on the hubby :) It's supposed to be chilly on Wednesday, though. Next step, SNOW!!!! Christy

I've been in Montgomery County for 43 years. The weather is predictably unpredictable but this winter has had the most consistantly warm days that I can remember. We usually have a few days with unseasonably high temps in the winter but this year we've only had a few days with low temps!
