Richard and I went down there a few weeks ago to scout it out for bowhunting. The place is lovely but wild; not many trails (and the few new ones were too soggy to hike that weekend even in good boots), one good loop road through the marsh. A great place to kayak/canoe. Good but small visitor's center. We plan to head back down this summer to fish in our new 17-foot canoe, the Big Red Bus.

Jug Bay is a better place for hiking around, plus they rent canoes and kayaks. Closer, too.
